Coin of the day, day 24: Animals of the Provinces - Lapland 5 €
This provincial coin with a nominal value of five euros depicts reindeer. The collector coin's reverse bears the historic coat of arms of Lapland.

The second series in the Big 5 coin range has arrived. Boasting a new coin design of Africa’s majestic five, the range will once again depict the elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo in incredible detail on the obverse and reverse sides of the coins.

Coin of the day, day 21: Year of the Tiger 10€ silver coin
The tiger is the third sign of the zodiac, and an earth sign. It is considered as brave, fighting and powerful but also cruel, vindictive and terrifying. The Tiger symbolises power and solitude. In the past, people often compared emperors and high dignitaries to this animal.

Coin of the day, day 20: PHILOSOPHER’S STONE
This breathtaking and beautiful coin is dedicated to Alchemyst – Nicolas Flamel who is supposed to have discovered the Philosopher’s Stone, granting immortality with its Elixir of Life. The coin features beautiful partial gilding, has a great High Relief, an Antique Finish quality and a Swarovski Crystal insert. The pride of our masters – the original edge of the coin – a stylized snake that “wraps” the whole coin.

Coin of the day, day 19: Battle of Lepanto (2021) 50 euro silver coin
The Battle of Lepanto was the last and largest naval battle fought by oared galleys, which took place on 7 October 1571 in the Gulf of Patras on the west coast of Greece, named after the port of Lepanto.

Coin of the day, day 18: 1oz silver proof Krugerrand
Struck for the first time on 3 July 1967, with the aim of marketing South African gold, this legend in the coin industry was conceived when the concept of a legal tender gold coin linked to the daily gold price was introduced in South Africa.

Coin of the day, day 17: Kekkonen
This collector coin pays tribute to Urho Kaleva Kekkonen (1900–1986), who was the eighth president of the Republic of Finland, holding office in 1956–1982. The obverse of the coin bears a portrait of Urho Kaleva Kekkonen. The reverse features a landscape of Finnish fields framing an open book depicting a constructed urban environment. The motif symbolises the president's mandate from the people. All coins in the series will share the same reverse. The collector coins are designed by Tero Lounas.

Coin of the day, day 16: The Laurel
After the Sower, Hercules, the Rooster and Marianne, Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to a new series from 2020 to 2022 : Nature of France. This last one highlights the beauty of the nature through three strong numismatic symbols : the oak, the laurel and the wheat. In 2021, the laurel will be given pride of place. Synonymous with eternity, Laurel is also a symbol of glory and is closely linked to Victory. A part of French history, it is therefore a major element in numismatics.

Creators of the Lithuanian Mint continue the Fairy Tales series with the delightful latest coin, "The Princess and the Pea", a piece of impressive beauty. The main message of the work – while traveling through life, let us avoid hasty conclusions and boring, primitive solutions. After all, with ingenuity, we can see and achieve much more than expected.

Coin of the day, day 14: Fox, BIC uncirculated
The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) belongs to the family of dog-like predators and is unmistakably similar to both dogs and wolves. Foxes can be found on almost all continents, and the forest has long since ceased to be their only habitat. The red fox is known for its twilight and nocturnal forays through the front gardens of big cities. Its eyes can clearly see its surroundings in the dark, by rotating its ears it can locate a squeaking mouse from a distance of more than 100m and its unique sense of smell is 400 times stronger than ours. These attributes make it an adaptable survivor who likes to rummage around our bins for food.

Salvador Dalí i Domènech (Figueras, May 11 1904 to January 23 1989) was a twentieth-century Spanish painter, sculptor, engraver, stage designer and writer. He is considered to be one of the leading exponents of surrealism.

Coin of the day, day 10: UNESCO - MAGELLAN AND MANUELINE AGE
For more than 40 years, the UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) lists the sites that are part of the “world heritage cultural property sites”. Since 2007, Monnaie de Paris honours various monuments included in this list in a series of collector coins. From 2019, this thematic is expanding one more time all over the world.

Coin of the day, day 9: World design capital
The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design named Helsinki the 2012 World Design Capital. In honor of the anniversary, a 50-euro gold/silver commemorative coin was issued. The Mint Directors’ Conference 2012 awarded the title of Most Technologically Advanced Coin to the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 collector coin struck by Mint of Finland. The WDC coin separated itself from the competition through its finely executed design. What makes the WDC coin special is its centre section. It is gold-coloured and undulating, with clear differences in elevation; yet the highest ridge in the pattern is on the same level as the rest of the coin. The grooves and ridges are mirrored on the opposite face of the elegant coin.

Coin of the day, day 8: The Water Tiger
For the forthcoming year 2022, the Lithuanian Mint has created a coin bearing the symbol of the year—the Tiger. This unique coin portrays traits such as determination, courage and strength, which are not only associated with tigers, but will also be of key importance in the new year.
