Introducing to you: Helsinki Mint. The new producer of Finland coins

Exciting news in coin world: the Ministry of Finance in Finland has reached an agreement with Helsinki Mint. The new brand name, an initiative by the Royal Dutch Mint, will take responsibility for minting Finland’s official circulation coins and will issue several commemorative coins.

On the new website of Helsinki Mint, everyone interested can register their email to receive all information regarding the upcoming projects. In addition to that, everyone that registers and leaves their address, will get a special present from Santa Claus himself…

Circulation and commemorative coins

Helsinki Mint, an extension of the Royal Dutch Mint, brings over 450 years of minting experience and is recognized for its impressive craftsmanship and innovation. The agreement will allow the Finnish Ministry of Finance to leverage these capabilities to continue producing coins that reflect the highest standards of precision and security, while also showcasing Finland’s identity and values. Next to this, Helsinki Mint will also issue commemorative coins to celebrate national events, anniversaries and achievements.

The first coins under this new partnership are expected to be in circulation by Spring 2025 and further announcements regarding upcoming commemorative coin releases will be made in the coming months. All information will be shared via a newsletter, for which you can sign up here.
