Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to the characters of the most emblematic figures of the French comic strip, Asterix. The face of this coin is adorned with an engraving of Asterix in profile, appearing in a hammered background reminiscent of ancient Gallic coins or the Roman sesterce.
This gold coin is a part of the series honouring the irreducible Gauls, comic book series created by the writer René Goscinny and the illustrator Albert Uderzo.
10 euro silver coin by Lithuanian Mint ”THERE IS NO PLANET B” is dedicated to environmental protection.
On the obverse of the coin there is the main motif revealed by artistic means – the planet Earth, disappearing due to reckless, selfish behavior: the planet will perish if humankind does not take responsibility for it. The composition is surrounded by an inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), the denomination (€10), the year of issue (2022) and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.
The reverse of the coin bears the symbolic inscription NĖRA PLANETOS B (THERE IS NO PLANET B).
