Wrapping Up 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025 at Coiniverse
As 2024 comes to an end, we at Coiniverse are thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had this year. It’s been a remarkable year of growth, innovation, and milestones—and we couldn’t have done it without our vibrant community of collectors.
A Year of Milestones
This year, we hit an incredible milestone: 150,000 registered collectors in Coiniverse! This achievement is a testament to the passion and enthusiasm of coin collectors from around the world who have made Coiniverse their go-to platform.
Throughout 2024, we released several new versions of Coiniverse, each designed to enhance your experience. Whether it was adding new features, improving the user interface, or expanding our database, our goal was to make coin collecting easier, more enjoyable, and more rewarding.
Expanding the Coiniverse Coin Catalog
At the heart of Coiniverse is our commitment to providing you with the most accurate and comprehensive coin database. This year, we set up a dedicated task force within the Coiniverse Community to further improve the catalog. Thanks to their hard work and the input from collectors like you, our database keeps growing.
Telling Stories Behind the Coins
We know that every coin has a story to tell, and we’ve made it a priority to bring these stories to life. In 2024, we released a series of blog articles covering the latest news and events in the coin collecting world. We also partnered with CoinsWeekly, a leading source of in-depth information on numismatic topics from around the globe. As a new feature, Coiniverse users can now access CoinsWeekly articles directly within the app.
Shop Coins Directly Through Coiniverse
This year we have made several improvements to the shop section, including possibility to buy coins directly in the app. We’re looking forward to grow the shop further in 2025 with even more offerings from our partners.
Welcoming New Partners
Collaboration is key to our vision for Coiniverse as a connected hub for the global coin collecting community. In 2024, we welcomed The Perth Mint, StoneX, and PAMP to Coiniverse family, strengthening our network of mints and dealers. Looking ahead, we’re eager to onboard even more partners, like Croatian Mint and The Printing Works Department of the Bank of Greece (IETA) - National Mint, to enrich your experience.
As a December treat, we've been delighted to offer you friendship badges you might have missed from our member mints. To claim missing badges, open Coiniverse and navigate to the mint profiles at the bottom of the app's opening screen. You can find the code in the News section of their profiles. Note that there are badges available from Perth Mint, PAMP, Lithuanian Mint, Italian Mint, Mint of Finland, South African Mint, Swissmint, Münze Deutschland, and Veravalor.
As sad news, Mint of Finland announced that it will close its operations in 2025. Over the years, Mint of Finland has played a significant role in the Coiniverse story, and its legacy will continue to inspire our work as we move forward. As many of you have asked if this affects Coiniverse, we can assure you that Coiniverse will continue and is not affected. Mint of Finland established Coiniverse in 2021, and Coiniverse spun off as an independent startup in 2023.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we turn our sights to 2025, our focus remains on making Coiniverse the ultimate platform for coin collectors worldwide. Here’s what we’re working on:
